It all started when…

we noticed that students leaving for the summer often have trouble storing or relocating their things, and we want to make the move-out process as easy and as sustainable for everyone. We hate to see piles of perfectly usable furniture in the dumpster, instead of going to a new home. In May, SWAP partners with ResLife, WashU Facilities and the Office of Sustainability to organize a massive end-of-semester collection. We take everything from food, appliances and electronics, furniture, clothing, books and office supplies, and organizations like Goodwill, Operation Food Search, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and of course, Sharing With A Purpose.
