SWAP Storefront

A place where "free for all" exists ...

The SWAP Storefront, first opened in 2012 as The Trading Post, is a student-run reuse and exchange store where members of the WashU community can both donate and take items for free. The storefront serves as a physical location where students can drop off items in our donation bins or take items such as clothing, books, dorm items, office supplies, furnishings and more throughout the academic school year.

Making a donation...

is as easy as dropping off items in the donation bins outside of our storefront or bringing them inside during our storefront hours.

Free for all; all for free...

Everything is always free in our storefront. This is made possible by the profits we earn during our annual, back-to-school Swamp Sale, which pays for storefront upkeep throughout the school year.

Hours: Monday - Friday 4 - 6 pm

During the semester the storefront is open from 4:00-6:00 pm Monday - Friday. Unfortunately we are typically closed during the summer and winter break, but check our social media for exceptions. Direct Message us @swapstl on Instagram or email us at swapstl@gmail.com for more information.

Location: Corner of Gregg storefronts

You can find us on the South 40 at the corner of the Gregg storefronts and near the clocktower.
